Peter Lippmann is an American-born photographer who has worked in Paris for the past twenty-five years. Lippmann specializes in still life, advertising, magazine work, food, and trompe l’oeil. His clients include Marie Claire, Cartier Art Magazine, NY Times Magazine, The Sunday Times, Le Figaro, Cartier, Audemars Piguet, Fürterer, SFR, SNCF, Christian Louboutin and many more. For several years he worked for Christian Louboutin’s annual look book, and it is wonderful to look at. Satire, delicately humor, ingenuity and great implementing force are characteristic of his work.

A very interesting variant of photography opens in the balance between art and advertising. And Peter Lippmann is one of the masters of this manifestation.

Uma Karuna Thurman (born April 29, 1970) is an American actress and model. She has performed in leading roles in a variety of films, ranging from romantic comedies and dramas to science fiction and action movies. Following early roles in films such as Dangerous Liaisons (1988), she rose to international prominence in 1994 following her role in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction for which she was nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe Award. She starred in several more films throughout the 1990s such as The Truth About Cats & Dogs, Batman & Robin, Gattaca and Les Misérables. She won a Golden Globe Award for the miniseries Hysterical Blindness (2002). Her career was revitalized when she reunited with director Quentin Tarantino to play the central role in two Kill Bill films (2003/2004) which brought her an additional two Golden Globe Award nominations and a BAFTA Award nomination.

Uma Thurman was looking gorgeous as she posed in a red dress for her latest photo shoot. The 43-year-old beauty has been named the star of the Campari Calendar for 2014, and we can see why. The 15th edition no less, is entitled ‘Worldwide Celebrations!’.

PRADA is the big one; the show that will define the season for months to come. There are “good Pradas” and “better Pradas” and this one was a hit. And now the much awaited campaign for Prada’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection is here.

The Italian luxury brand showcases an array of chic and colorful ensembles and accessories, shot by acclaimed fashion photographer Steven Meisel.

For the first time, the campaign includes, not one, but two black models (Cindy Bruna and the returning Malaika Firth). By Prada standards, and despite the lack of a single Asian model, this is one of the most diverse casts yet.

Patrick Demarchelier

All fashionistas and photographers know the name of Patrick Demarchelier (born 21 August 1943 in Paris), one of the best French fashion photographers. He spent his childhood in Le Havre with his mother and four brothers. For his seventeenth birthday, his stepfather bought him his first Eastman Kodak camera. Demarchelier learned how to develop film, retouch negatives and began shooting friends and weddings.

In 1975, he left Paris for New York to follow his girlfriend. He discovered fashion photography by working as a freelance photographer and learning and working with photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Terry King, and Jacque Guilbert. His work drew the attention of Elle, Marie Claire and 20 Ans Magazine

He later worked for Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, first in September 1992 which resulted in a 12-year collaboration. Demarchelier has shot international advertising campaigns for Dior, Louis Vuitton, Celine, TAG Heuer, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Lacoste, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren.

Kristian Schuller is a Paris-based photographer. He is the son of theater dramaturg and director Frieder Schuller. As a child, Kristian emigrated with his parents and his brother to Germany, he grew up in Bonn and Dusseldorf. He studied fashion design with Vivienne Westwood and photography with F.C. Gundlach at the University of Fine Arts Berlin.

After his initial introduction by Isabella Blow to Condé Nast Publications in London, Kristian has continued working internationally with various fashion magazines and commercial clients.

He has worked together with artists/models like Penélope Cruz, Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum, Duran Duran, etc. His work featuring top models in original and creative settings has been published in international magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Glamour and many more.

Established in 1998, the Picto Prize for Young Fashion Photography aims to emerge and highlight the work of a young fashion photographer, chosen by a jury of professionals composed among others by the art critic Virginie Bergougnoux, Sophie Bernard (Image Magazine), Celine Martin-Raget (Musée du Quai Branly), Christophe Brunnquell (director Figaro).. The Picto offers the winner an exhibition of his work and studio shooting by the partners Lumiere Imaging and Studio Daguerre. The amount of the prize is € 1,000.

REGULATIONS 2013: CONDITIONS TO PARTICIPATE
–    Have less than 35 years, all countries.
–    Provide a coherent and representative selection of your work (print B & W or color – minimum size 18x24cm).
–    Imperatively complete application includes :
paper portfolio series or selection.

a CD with images of portfolio presented in low resolution 2 high definition images a biography / career of the photographer (maximum 15 lines) in Word .

Iain grew up in Africa and Malaysia and developed a passion for photography at an early age. On moving to London, he worked as an account handler for Saatchi & Saatchi but left to pursue his photographic caree. After spending several years living and working in New York, he is now based back in London but continues to work internationally.
Iain loves to capture images that have a strong graphic and textural quality, often searching out the graphical symmetry in chaos, while still maintaining the personality and emotion of the subject. His career has lead him to shoot campaigns for many of the world’s top brands and receive commissions from a host of top international magazines.
